Plains Tribes Figures? (1 Viewer)

Hello all:

Are any companies producing quality figures representing the Native American plains tribes of North America or the US Cavalry who fought them during the late 1800's - early 1900's?

There is a company called "Blackhawk" that is producing a Custer series.
Don,t know if Treefrogs sell them, but I know Michigan Toy Soldier does.
Also, tho you probably know this, K&C did a series "The West", a few years ago, however they have long been retired.

Hi Eric,

I know your preference is for matte finished figures. However, Monarch Regalia makes some really nice American Indian figures in glossy finish. To see some pictures of them, log on to the Tedtoy site and click on the American Indian button found on the left side of the screen just below the Monarch heading.

I bet the K&C were nice but I'm not quite ready to sell my first born for toy soldiers... at least not until the right set comes along.

Understood- the Blackhawk figures are pretty good and reasonably priced. Plastic wise, there are many companies that make them.

If you want REALLY standout figures, try the St. Pete figs- of course, that might cost you your first and SECOND born. Combat posted some picks of the newer ones on his "Napoleonics" thread in the Other Manufacturers section.

Now those are pretty cool. I may have to pick up a few and try my hand at painting. I haven't worked on any models in years but I ought to give it a crack before my nerves are totally shot and my eyes give out.
