Hi guys
Does anyone know what and when the new warbirds are going to be and when they are coming out
Regards Scott

At the the westcoaster, Andy said FW190 and Spitfire. I don't believe he gave a time frame.

I think if you PM Steven Chong he has info pertaining to what planes Andy talked about at the Westcoaster.

Scott,

I think this might have been in Steven's report and I might have mentioned something in the Symposium thread. Worse to worse you can always email Andy and he can let you know.

My recollection was the FW-190 was next, don't recall a specific date but I seem to remember Andy not wanting to overload the system and saying aircraft about once every 3 months.
In thinking back I would have figured a B of B release would have been next but I guess the mustang already put an end to that.
Andy did mention probably no FOB releases in the near future as he believes the Battle of Britian is in the same arena and he's definately going to hit that hard (as already seen).

Too bad. I like the FOB stuff.

Actually - Andy told me in New York during the symposium that the releases on the poly-warbirds would be close to quarterly releases - sometimes up to four months for each.

Yes - the German FW190 is coming out next and it is expected to be a BIG SELLER - and run out very quick. The Spit and the ME109 are to follow. More German Luft figures later this year.

Quarterly would be a good idea indeed Ron,much easier on the bank balance.

I cant wait for the spitfire. How many more German Luft can they make??? J/K

Yes the Spit is what I'm looking forward to most, but so far they've not made a German plane in this new series of Warbrds. So we can look forward to an FW190,Stuka and ME109:cool:

I for one am eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Fw 190, as Photoshop can only take you so far:D

I'll second that, the 190 is a fierce and beautiful aircraft, I hope Andy picks an outstanding paint job for this one.

The Butcher Bird is one of my favorites, as well. Would like to see one with a black nose, spinner, and red trim. No yellow, please. -- lancer

I have two of the wood K&C FW 190's made over the years (one from the mid-1990's, one from a couple of years ago), both of which have very cool markings.

I think it was 2-3 March's ago that Andy announced the new museum quality wood warbirds at the Symposium. He bought a book with literally dozens of full color drawings of different FW 190 markings. We all sat around at the farewell luncheon at the Wolenski Grill pushing Andy to make the FW 190 with the markings we preferred. Whichever Andy chooses, I am sure it will look sharp.

Scott, I wanted to say that I looked over your album. I found it quite clean and very appealing...not cluttered. I could see doing it just as you have. Part of me doesn't like too much of the dirt look involved with the diorama's. Though your album seems to steer me more towards the clean layout with less dirt...though I'm 100% sure I'm doing an airstrip with the Build-a-Rama airstrip turf & tower...of course custom made to fit into the end result cabinet. Anyhow great job!

I wasn't at the Grill but Andy also had his books at Louis' as there was a lull in the afternoon back in 2006 and I remember myself, Louis, Hans and Bill Sager sitting around Andy as he was asking which markings we liked best. It was a great afternoon. Here are some of the 190s that Andy made in wood in the last three to four years.

Photos are as follows:

First FW made. This was the first one shown on the Forum and we all thought it wasn't a wood plane. Everybody was blown away. I think this one is in Andy's collection

AIR 004 FW 190 Snake
AIR 004 FW 190 Novotny
AIR 025 FW 190 Black 8
AIR 026 FW 190 Red 8

These wooden planes are the best things K & C makes, bar none.

I'm sorry to rain on the parade but I hope Andy keeps it quarterly or longer on the planes. Each plane project is a ground item or historical figure that isn't done. I watched 21C go from armor to primarily aircraft and I was quite disappointed. Sorry, just my bent view of things.

Hi Guys,

Just got back last Friday from almost a whole month in the ‘States… Had a great time, met many old friends and, I hope, made a few new ones…

Now about these planes…
1. Don’t worry Binder (Gary B.) K&C’s intention is for approx. one new aircraft model every quarter. The upcoming FW 190 will be released in June/July… The Spitfire, I hope, will be August/September.

2. Because we produce aircraft it certainly does not mean we produce less fighting vehicles or historical figures. Even a casual glance at our releases over the last year proves that.

Our aircraft, landing craft, submarines etc. are in addition to our vehicle and figure releases not I repeat not instead of.

So, no worries there.
3. By continuing to develop and grow new areas of collector interest K&C has not only weathered the financial storms of the last couple of years but actually expanded considerably.

Hope this clarifies the situation… Best wishes to one and all… Happy
collecting… and happy flying!

Andy C.
