Writing a post, it came to my mind this idea.. Would you like some manufacturer makes " plantation" figures, to integrate ACW figures? This would give the possibility to many kind of dios and extend the ACW theme which is rather saturated as many other ranges....:p

....Maybe also some ACW ARTILLERY

Sorry, I meant to write this thread in" general toysoldiers discussions" :p

Would I want to collect slave figures. And the answer is no. (even though am hooked on the ACW)

I guess it could be a cash-in on a couple of recent Hollywood epics. About ten years ago, Bill Hocker did some sets evocative of the south of that period: set 321 Slave Auction, and set 325 Regimental Muster. His trademark traditional toy style added poignancy to the scenarios. Polar Bear has given us brilliant vignettes of those times using Hocker and Britains figures. (http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/forum/showthread.php?20952-Civil-War-Muster and http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/forum/showthread.php?21944-Cotton-Tales-(1860s-1890s)/page2)

How about a group of cotton pickers being told by a union cavalry officer that they were now free, it was the Day of Jubillo? Trooper

Once again the much ignored glossy manufacturers have been there done that and bought the T shirt
WM Hocker makes a set of slaves on an auction block and a cool set of John Browns abolitionists about to attack Harpers Ferry

Maybe they are ignored because they don't squabble, rant and rave unlike the followers of other branches? Trooper
