All that Napoloenic talk got me fired up! So I was working on it a little bit.

A company of fusilers of the 54th line regiment are added to the fray

Cool pix Vamp, I hadnt seen those.
Little wars site mentions some Italeri 1/32 releases for this year. For Napoleonics theres 95th Rifles. That sounds good, I'm full up on metal rifles and KGL but thats a good set unavailable up until now.
Also, Hang on to yer stirrups, Napoleonic Mamelukes! Oh joy. Lets see , One squadrons worth in the entire french Army.Almost any other mounted troop of any Nation would have been a better choice ! Dragoons,Lancers, Cuirassier, Chassuer A Cheval, Uhlans, Cossacks, bleedin buggeroo anything else for the major belligerents of the period would have been more usefull.
I suppose you could buy lots of them for Napoleon in Egypt to fight against your Revoultionary French figs at the Battle of the Pyramids..Oh, right , nobody makes those!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are some nice WW2 sets promised, Russians/Germans in winter gear plus some AT guns too.

On a similar note, if you are familiar with Papo and Scheich 90 mm Knights and Ancients.Someone tried for several years to convince the manufacturer to have them Pantagraqphed from 90 to 54mm. At last they were convinced. 45mm is the scale chosen, not 54mm. There are practically zero 45mm figs of any quantity and quality so that was the decision. They'll corner the market on prepainted 45mm!Built in market for 54mm ?Not considered? Hello? You'll still sell to parents buying them for their little kids plus a bunch of middle aged fat guys! Hello???
 :(

Maybe the decision maker is dyslexic. 45 from 54. Mamelukes woud be kind of cool. But they were all gone by Waterloo.

lol 45s are not so bad- they make perfect 5 foot men when next to the 54s :D
I have some Scruby 45 Naps and they blend into my 54s nicley.

I'm doing a bunch of 54 War of 1812 figs but that wont stop me from buying all the Nap era figs I can get to so the 95th is good news :D

Nice pics guys. Here is AIP Napoleonic Artillery. Leadmen (Armies IN Plastic).

What color blue is that? Now I am going to have to repaint my sets because I really like the way they look!

hey Leadmen you have been holding out ! They look great. I would like to find some recast airfix. Those Timpos look great and paint up well also. Trying to be a good boy and wait for the West Coaster. And there are so many figures to paint as it is. Plus all the molds I have which I haven't even begun to work on. A toy soldier enthusiasts' work is never done.;)

But is this the french blue? It looks lighter than the K&C figures.

The blue is Vallejo French Blue. You can see I am overwhelmed by plastic tubs of stuff. Been going through them all day. It seems I just move one pile of ...... to another spot. I will see if I got some Airfix bags of recasts. Leadmern:confused:

I thought that blue looked familiar! Is that a legitimate color? Yes I have that same problem I have some AIP sets to trade maybe? Or Some metal castings if I get off my bum.

I just picked up some Airfix from CTS a couple weeks back- converted the belgic shakos to stovepipes for my 1812 project but also had to order the French Old guards to go with my AIP- the AirFix is smaller than the AIP but since I mix 45s in with my 54s these work fine as they are 50mm to the top of head.

Love all these painted pics- specially the Highlanders. I dont paint very well but I'll snap some photos of my collection over the next week or so if people would like to see?

lol it takes a while to get around to :D And my paintjobs are terrible- ironically I can sculpt better than I can paint!

Bro, I stumbled across your website today. Cool stuf. Your figs look fine, nothing wrong with those paint jobs.

You guys own the Scruby stuf now? Scruby was kind of before my time but somewhere around here I have a couple Scruby 54mm ACW.
