Plastic Platoon German Paratroopper set 3 (1 Viewer)

First let me say I think Plastic Platoon produces the best plastic figures ever made. I have all of their Vietnam line. However if they continue with lines such as the Crete line I believe they may be going in the wrong direction. Doing sets of rather obscure battles or better yet doing lines of figures that a typical plastic collector can not use with his existing plastic just doesn't bode for success. I bought the German paratroopers but not the Brits or Greeks. Again nothing to match with them. You certainly can't set up a diorama having only 6 figures. Please PP stick with more traditional era of figures.

I'm with you, I also think they are heading in the wrong direction. I love the detail and would have bought multiple sets of each of the German paratroopers if they had simply stuck with more traditional firing poses ( kneeling,standing-prone) The figures are too pose specific and it makes it hard to match up with anything else. Too bad as it would have been great opportunity to get some 1/32 scale Falschirmjager

Oh Dear - The Battle for Crete was 'obscure' was it. My father served on HMS Phoebe that managed under heavy fire and air attack to evacuate the last of the NZ engineers befoer the island fell. As for the Plastic Platoon figures I think they have wonderful animation and detail and who else produces Cretans and Greeks.

I have seen the recent relase and the previous paratrooper sets...and I am inclined to disagree...Other than the piece set that has a para on the ground with a Greek peasant hitting him with a stone....all the others could easliy be part of the opening attacks to Holland , the canal and the mountain top fortifications....the para on the ground separated from the Greek could easily be receiving a bayonet blow from a Dutch defender....
Agree that they could also have been used in the Balkans against the Yuguslav Partisans....
Cheers
