Like some of the rest of you I am sure, I just recieved a Conte email noting that the first shipment of the plastic Spartans left the factory today and is expected to be shipped out to those with orders in early August.:D The message notes a final price of $24 per card of 7 figures (2 unique and 5 repeating 2 shield wall poses and the 3 phalanx poses) and a minimum initial purchase of 9 cards, to which Conte says it will add a FREE 10th set of their choosing. As they have noted before, only red will be available initially.

For the extreme collector, it notes that if you want to order 10,000 Spartans and recreate the Battle of Platea, RC will quote a price & bring these to your house and play with them with you.

Anyways, it includes some new photos, including one of an actual card and they continue to look very nice.

He also mentioned something about case prices. And multiple case prices for those who wish to create a "300" dio.:)

Good point KV: The price for the first 10 cards (70 figures) is $200.00, $190 for a second, 180$ for a third and $170 for a fourth, plus $15.00 for UPS Shipping for each "case". That is a lot of painting mate.:D;)

Tell you what, with this sort of detail a dyed in the wool metal snob like me might even try his hand at a packet of these!

No point mate. There's no green paint required on these, and I've got all the red stuff. ;)

They are looking good aren't they?

Wooooooooo Hooooooooo great news and still awesome figures, can't wait, the only thinkg i am not crazy about though is Deposit per case in advance plus they will charge your credit card once they have arrived in the U.S. and are shipped out, seems a bit "off" to me but as always with Conte "it is what it is" and accept it or don't :)

Can you guys believe the price on these spartans!!!!!!:eek::mad::eek::(:eek::eek::eek::eek:
I can; given the level of detail and the incredible ability to change poses, weapons and even heads:cool:, I think it is pretty reasonable. Certainly much cheaper than the metal versions.
