Hi All,

Just saw this movie again last night. Good fight scenes throughout. In my humble opinion, a good movie, not a great movie.

Not my favorite movie but it is a good one. It does have, IMO, one of the most intense scenes I have ever seen on film. That would be the scene in the village when the platoon gets out of control while looking for VC, specifically wear Sgt. Barnes has shot the village leaders wife, has grabbed his daughter and is holding his pistol to her head while screaming at the village leader. That whole sequence makes me cringe everytime I see it and even though I have seen it many times and know its' coming, I still have a hard time watching it. -- Al

It,s certainly in my top 10 war movies. I now can,t stomach Oliver Stone, but he did a good job with this.

My favorite scene has to be Elias, shot by Barnes and left for dead, running from the gooks and being gunned down leading to his kneeling, arms raised death scene...Michael

Platoon is also in my top 10-favorites. Every battle scene was good and I could tell you why I liked a particular scene. I liked the part when Barnes pulled the smoking hot, shrapnel out of the radio operator. And as Al mentioned at the village. It was intense just watching that scene. Imagine actually being there. Great movie.
