Hi - I was trying to see how my digital camera would do with foreground images. Took lots of shots. This one did not turn out too bad.

Re: Playing around with perspective and fogbound objects

Thanks for that.

I hope one day to get around to doing a nice set up and photo shoot. It's just this day job that take all my time, but then it does allow me to buy the toys. :D

I really like this figure, and the others that came out at the same time. They are all 1st division and they look like they are veterans who have "done this before" House clearing. All cautious in their advance. I should have put a few more of this guys friends with him. Maybe tonight for another quick test.

This is the interior of the old Conte Church from their playset. Top removed so that light can spill in to show the detail.

That is a really nice piece... where does one get one of those?

Well they were limited edition play sets from a while ago. you can find them at shows now and then. I know that Minutemen Toy soldiers gets one or two now and then, so if you are looking let George know to keep an eye out for you.

You might also contact Conte themselves as they might have a set in the warehouse that they came across after the move. They might even have damaged one if you don't mind some repair work.

They are big sets. The church with it's tower is about 3 feet tall. Maybe a 2 by 2 foot square foot print give or take. The cost is up there too, just so you know.

Thanks everyone for the comments. My art director (my 5 year old son) wanted to add more soldiers, so I let him pick out his favorites and i picked out some too. Here are two shots I was able to get transferred over before my camera and Mac stopped talking to each other.

I hope you like them.

Oh - and that title was suppose to be "foreground objects" not "fogbound":smile2:

Nice job Matthew, can't beat those Conte buildings, love that church/priory combination.......

Thanks George,

That's actually all the Church. I am using the back wall section of the Church that came with my set. I never really figured out where it was suppose to go, but I always set it behind the church. It had a nice look through that window, though i had to cheat some things to get the shot. Sorry for the sideways picture. I always seem to have one that will be stubborn about this.
