I would love to see some pictures of the inside of the new Treefrog. Were you able to take any snap shots during your grand opening ceremony?

Yes, some of us live a great distance from you and it sure would be nice to see what we missed. Oh, yeah, I forgot, your four and half hours southeast of me and I could have made it down there. Oh well, better luck next time. Besides, you don't want the flu and I could give you a really health dose of it. Me and my remote. What a boring weekend. As "Bruce" sang, "57 channels and nothin's on." And I wanted to see the Simpsons, Family Guy, and American Dad last night but nooo, FOX has to show NASCAR. God I hate NASCAR on TV. The only thing worse is golf on TV.:)

We DID get some photos of the grand opening, but we've realized that most of them are on Shannon's mum's camera, which she took home with her. She's got a dial-up connection, so we'll see how quickly we can get them!

Michael - I think nearly everyone in Minnesota is sick right now. Another couple hours of watching golf and you'll be feeling good again...;)

Is Minnesota still there ? - I keep seeing this white blob on the weather channel where your State is suppose to be. ;)

In Florida this week - todays high 77. :D

Ron,
Today's high is actually 87 degrees. We broke a record on Saturday with a high of 89 degrees. Saturday we have a cold front with a low of 47 degrees in the evening and then back to a terribly cold 67 degress for Sunday daytime. Can you imagine the pain we go through down here? Who would ever want to live here:D

Bill

I am in Orlando - which is in Florida

You are in Miami - which is another Country entirely. :p :D

Good to hear from you and hope all is well.

Ron

Hey, we're supposed to get up to 20 degrees today...about as warm as we've been in a long time. Call it a heat wave.

The other day I was outside and thought, "Hey, this feels pretty nice." I looked at a thermometer. 9 degrees. We're getting desperate!

Ron,
We have a completely different form of government down here. You can only imagine.
If you are in Orlando then you know what I mean about the weather.
Will I see you in NY next week?

Shannon said there was a boy playing outside the other day in shorts and the temp was 30 degrees. She said it was a heat wave.

You guys in FLA just don't get it. REAL MEN can handle the weather and the cold. Plus, in a couple of decades your going to be underwater anyway.:D

Hey look..Shannon did take some pictures on her own computer.

Here's a smattering of our open house...

Thank you Treefroggers for the pictures of your shop. Maybe someday I will be able to visit it outside of the cyber world.

The bases were custom made for our showcases by Ken and Ericka Osen of Hudson & Allen Studio and they are beauts. There is a third desert base that will rotate into the showcases and it might be my favorite of the three.
The pictures I took give you an idea of what the displays look like in the showroom but I don't seem to have many of the warehouse. Pete and I will try to get a little video tour made up--hopefully this week that will show the whole place.

Hi Shannon and Pete,

Thanks so much for the great pictures! Your displays are very well done and quite effective. As you might imagine, I am especially drawn to the Beau Geste Delhi Durbar display. All of your displays have provided me with some new ideas regarding how to display my collection, for which I am very grateful.

Best of luck with your new facility and thanks for everything you do!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Looks like a wonderful store. Thank you for posting up some pictures. All the best to you for the future.

Nice. Who made the dios for the K & C stuff?

Hi Brad. We made three scenes, each one made of two sections to make them easier to remove from Shannon's cases. The Summer and Winter bases feature our H&A products including a flexible grass material that helps disguise the base of the figures when viewed closer to eye level. We use this on many of our custom display bases. When you set your white metal figures on the standing grass it will lay flat. When you move the figures to another location the grass will stand back up. For a better impression of what this looks like from eye level, take a look at the new AWI Royal Artillery set image posted under New W.Britains 2008 catalog. This set was just placed on the base and then photographed. We feel it is a nice simulation of the open countryside for many periods.
