Wayne.

I received mine yesterday, they are fantastically beautiful , awesome, great figures, but in comparison to the other series but don't you think they are a bit small more 1/32 instead of 1/30???( example: next to the V series guard with dog they are like midgets)
guy:confused:

Just received mine yesterday, really like them. Now I hope T Gunn don,t let this series die on the vine!

Bought a set today at the London Toy Soldier Show. Especially like the hefty back packs - superb!

Just one mistake in those figures: the helmets look coloured in blue clear like the rest of the uniform; well, they should be dark metal colour instead.

The helmets were issued in a painted blue-gray finish. The shade of the blue could vary from a darker blue to a shade akin to the uniform's Horizon Blue. The earlier issue helmets were also rather shiny so a cloth cover was issued from late 1915 on as further camo. These covers were issued in light blue or khaki colored cloth. -- Al

Just received my set of Poilu the other day and I must say that I think these are the best figures TGM has done to date. I am very fond of anything WW1 French and these figures have hit all my points of interest. They are very accurate from the Horizon Blue of the uniform, to the equipment, the 1886/93 Lebel rifle, the crest and grenade on the helmet, and even the added detail of the (appears to be) Medaille Militaire on the kneeling figure. TGM did their research, getting the M1892 haversack in beige, as it was issued, and the M1877 two-liter canteen correct in it's HB color cloth cover. I'm really impressed with the helmet, which can be a bit difficult to get right because of the peculiar crest and general shape. TGM nailed it. The 2 figures also show the correct 3 ammo pouchs, 2 in front, 1 in the middle of the back. Well done TGM. Really fine figures.:salute:: -- Al

Picked these up the other day, I didn't even know they existed. I went into my local TS shop and there they were, I had to have them. I was blown away by the detail and historical accuracy of the figures. ^&cool

Love them, these are two of the best figures released so far. Hope to see many more.

I love them as well
Don't we need urgently some WW1 figures that can be used in a trench ? 14-18:It was a trench war after all
guy:)

We have 2 more French infantry coming out this month. Dispatches will be delayed by the way because May 5th is a Bank Holiday here in UK and we will not have all our photos back until the 8th May, because our photographer is away on holiday! Nobody seems to have told him work starts back for everybody else here on the 6th May!

Best Wishes Vicki

Delivered as promised and they certainly look as good as the first pair. My French army continues to grow. ^&grin -- Al

I received my second set of Poilus yesterday. I must admit I was a little apprehensive about the "Rifles pointing downward" description but to my relief - they aren't!

A few minor equipment differences to the first set, ( including rather nicely done bayonets. ) They are smashing addition to the series which I hope will continue.

Here's hoping for an Officer to join them at some point!

Roy.

Roy, those do look excellent. TGM has really nailed the French infantry. Can't wait until I can get my set. -- Al
