Along with my latest edition of the Standard I received a UK Dealers list for the UK. Living in North East England where there are no dealers I got excited at the prospect of being able to view Britains again only to find out that all the dealers listed in my area do not stock britains ( even modelzone in wh smith which takes up most of the list round the country do not stock Britains and have no intention of).
I then went on the website of other dealers listed round the country and they did not stock them just Trains ( apart from the well established dealers).

What is the point of a dealers list where most do not stock the product. Bachman if I wanted to buy a train I would not collect toy soldiers.

Thanks Paul

Ken much appreciated, I would like to say the Standard was good as ever, enjoyed the article by Ian Knight. If any one says the collectors club is not worth every penny they must want the world.
Cheers Paul

I have just received my latest Standard and Spring Catalogue and very good both are. I have every sympathy with "Paxford's" predicament and consider myself particularly fortunate position as, as living within a 40 minute train/tube journey, I do have access to some of the those toy soldier outlets in the capital. You also might like to be aware that the National Army Museum is closed for renovations until early next year. I don't know if they are still trading on-line, but if anyone turns up at their location at Chelsea they are going to be vey disappointed.

Now that the Imperial War Museum has re-opened after its renovation, is it worth approaching them to see if they could handle Britains? The First and Second World War ranges (and perhaps some of the others) would be highly appropriate to the Museum's collections and displays.
