Having taken the Orient Express south from Paris to visit his friends Agatha and Max at their archaeological dig in French mandate Syria before then moving on to Egypt for his long awaited holiday, Poirot stays a night as the guest of garrison commander.

Taking leave of the Captain in the morning, Poirot confesses ill luck in life of murder seeming to follow him wherever he goes. The Captain assures him that Syria is peaceful under the French.

Eventually Poirot arrives in Cairo and heads off to Giza to gaze at the Pyramids, where by chance he meets his friend The Colonel having a Camel ride round the Pyramids, who like Poirot is going up the Nile.

Steve,

Another example of your artistry in a WIDE range of subjects … very well done!

Poor Poirot! :redface2:
With that sneaky Arab skulking about holding the knife, I fear his vacation is about to be "CUT" short. (Yes, pun intended!!)

Have a Merry Christmas my friend!

Cheers Larry and a Merry Christmas to you too ^&grin

I think Poirot is ok from the knife welding Arab as it appears he has already finished off another Arab. Perhaps he offered him a cigarette with his left hand or something ^&confuse.
For the time being Poirot is safe with his friend at the Mena House enjoying the start of his holiday :wink2: Could do with a Santa emoji here :smile2:

The colonel looks a little uncomfortable on that camel^&grin. Like the story line. Robin.

Steve,

These are very nice. I love this Poirot series you're doing!

You blended the background perfectly into each scene. They all look quite realistic.

Constipation is probably the cause. Not sure whether it's the Camels or Colonels. Usually both types are full of it. I feel sorry for the Camel can't be nice carrying someone so full. :wink2: Retired Generals are worse ^&grin

Cheers Mark, Glad you're liking, Poirot deserves some time off :smile2:
