I will be posting from time to time examples from my BRITAINS toy soldier collection that I collected as a boy in the 1950s. I now only collect matte realistic figures such as K&C and John Jenkins but I thought the vintage glossy collectors would enjoy seeing these classic "Red Box" examples. I also have examples from the Herald's Line that were matte finish.

K&C produced several glossy mounted officer figures back in the late 1980's/early 1990's which were in the exact same poses as the Britain's mounted Mounty officer figure in your set from the 1950's. I guess Andy collected Britains when he was a boy too.

Do you have any Herald Robin Hood or English Civil War?
