I just got in two of Collectors Showcase POLISH LANCERS - I was very interested in how they would look with my other Napoleonic figures. They look great - actually - FANTASTIC ! WOW ! :D

Great Job - Brian !

Here is what I got in - two more are now being ordered.

Yes, they go very nicely with K&C naps, please see pics below:

Yup, they work really well in terms of 'scale' with K&C. I placed them side by side with the K&C Red Lancers

Just that their color is less vibrant compared with K&C

I'm very happy with my Polish Lancer set, I got 6 of them (I skipped the one unrealistically firing a rifle while riding in a charge)

Cost me a Fortune though...

I think we should get some French Hussars instead of Chasseur a’ Cheval, since the Hussars have done much more action for Napoleon than the Chasseur a Cheval

Thanks! I start running out of room though and need to invest in a 3rd curio cabinet especially to give a home to these nice CS Chasseurs à cheval :)

You have one real impressive collection there. Your display is really tempting me to add CS Naps to my collection too. :)

Just a thought though .. you have your troops displayed front to back against the mirror. If the troops were to be displayed side to the mirror .. the reflection will give the impression of one long, massive line. :D

Best wishes

Thanks OD for the nice words! With respect to your suggestion, I agree with you that it would look better with the reflection but the current display is the only way I have to get my entire Waterloo dio fit on that shelf. I am running out of room which is why I need to buy another curio cabinet :) If you look at my TF album you will understand my dilemma ;)

OK - I have found my first problem with the Polish Lancers ! :(

The Flag Carrier figure that I received - the Flag Pole would not fit into the small hole next to the boot - also the Flag itself is heavy and turns downwards - I have tried tacky wax to fix the problem - unfortunately - no luck it still turns downwards anyway.

I am sad about this defect because I have been very excited about the entire range. The heavy flag issue has surfaced with other figures in the ACW - I was hoping this would not be the case with the Napoleonics. Maybe others have had better luck with their figures? For me disappointment.

Oh well - still like the other figures that I have purchased so far - lots of action with the figures. But, overall a little bit of a let down down with this flag issue.

Here is the figure I am speaking of:

Such a tough one for us. Making the flags with animation makes them heavy as they need the thickness for the sculpt to look good. I've noticed the same thing with my set at home. I applied a little superglue in the hand area and then slid the flag in, that did it for me. Anyhow hope that helps!

By the way they're mostly sold out, they were the fastest selling product we ever produced.

very best regards,

Brian

I am not sure I would want to put super glue on my figures.

Hopefully you will find a way in the future to make flags for these figures that wouldn't require such "home fixes" - I kinda expect the figure to do what it is suppose to do when displayed without additional repair work when bought brand new.

As for the other figures - they are fantastic and have such great action !

John Jenkins had found a way to fix his own flag situation and now JJD Flagmen do not fall over anymore - just idea to look at for the future.

Looking forward to new Chasseur a' Chavels coming out soon !!

Generally, when I encounter loose flag or pikemen .. I use sewing threads. Choose a matching color, and a few loops round the staff will ensure a firm fit with no permanent alterations to the figures.

Like the new Chasseurs too ... hope to get some:)

Great idea! Actually I have an idea to create a better fit within the castings now. Look for this improvement as we move forward.
