I like anything Japanese-related. Something different from John might be interesting. Maybe a plane/pilot from a kamikaze unit or a Ohka.

I've suggested that Jenkins make AVG P-40B, and he seemed receptive.

As far as wish-lists kind of models, something genuinely unique for toy pilot collectors would be a nice floatplane:

Floatplanes are complex, I realize, but they've got something going for them besides aesthetics.

They were relatively compact so as to be more easily stored in the smallish, onboard hangars of battleships and cruisers.

The wingspan of the "Kingfisher" was five feet shorter than that of the Corsair (and close to seven feet shorter than a Hellcat).

It also served, pre-war:

Boy, would that look great on a shelf near me!

I'll vote for that.

My Jap carrier deck's are loaded with Andy's Japanese planes, but there is ALWAYS room for more WWII Japanese fighters, bombers, and such.
There is so much left undone at this point …. I would definitely be "IN" on anything that John makes.

John's US WWII US plane collection is displaying proudly with his Corsairs and F4F's.

Would love to see the P-40B done by John. I have the KC AVG version and love it but would be receptive to further USAAF versions, such as PH and the Philippines. The Kingfisher is my favorite float plane and would have to have one if John does it, especially with yellow wings. Once upon a time I had 2 1/48 scale Monogram models that I built, one with yellow wings and one as illustrated in early war colors. -- Al

Would love a Mitsubishi A6M Zero, and A5M, Type 96 Claude and any of the Nakajima AN biplane series. The Mitsubishi J2N Raiden (Jack) and the Kawanishi N1K-J Shiden (George) would be neat. Japanese Army fighter would be nice. Any of the Nakajima Ki series, 27 (Nate), 43 (Oscar), 44 (Tojo), and 84 (Frank). Not too much to ask for.:rolleyes2: -- Al

Yeah, I like this idea a lot!!.. A SBD Dauntless is another plane I would love to see made.. And the Avenger now comes to mind...

Since we have the Corsair, I'd love to see a Bunker Hill Helldiver! or with the Wildcat, how about a Devastator. Also, still need to see a JJD three color scheme Navy aircraft. so Dauntless, Hellcat, Avenger is still something I would buy without hesitation.
My collection would be very nice with the early Wildcat colors, the three color paint period, and my all blue corsair.

But that Kingfisher idea really hit a nerve! I want that! or a Grumman Duck, any of those
ship board floatplanes would be awesome. By the Way JJD design team. the Wildcat was built in some models as a flat plane. an easy version with current F4F.

Personally, I’d love to see an F3F “Flying Barrel” added to the Interwar Aviation lineup along with a Boeing P-12. I’m surprised JJD hasn’t done a WWII P-26 repaint in Philipenes AF or USAAF Markings with the olive drab. It would be easy enough to do... But for actual WWII aircraft, I’d get a TBF Avenger in a heartbeat.

In my last post, I said I'd like to see a Grumman Duck seaplane made. I still would, but
those were a bit heavy for catapult scout plane use. I would love to see an OS2U Kingfisher, or a biplane SOC Seagull done by JJD. One of these would be a very very interesting model. a Grumman duck would too.

Like the idea of the P-26 in early WW2 markings but it would really be neat in Chinese Air Force markings as would the Hawk III, Polikarpov I-16, Gladiator, etc. CAF is virtually an untouched area, with the exception of the AVG. -- Al
