Hi guys just wonderling what you guys like in these Two categories.I love my soldiers in the prone position with weapons ready to fire.I seem to only buy pieces fighting because I like building action diorama's.My favorite figures are the guys carrying wounded mates to safety.I like the bren and sten and thompson guns the best as they seem to look and add character to the soldiers.What do you think of K&C just doing a set of weapons lying around on ammo boxes or on there own.Simmo.

Definitely prefer figures in action, eg kneeling firing, or showing some kind of movement, eg the MG advance to contact set showing 3 paras creeping about. Feels like you are getting more value out of them. Static poses are fine, but I would be more inclined to get those at a later date. One recent case in point are the Dutch Lancers. Really liked the charging DL NA161, very fluid sculpt of the horse, can almost see it thundering across the battlefield (!) Also like NA160, but since not strictly in action, would save for a later date.

I have so many ideas for poses that have not been produced yet, which I know would be if interest to most collectors. I have dropped hints to those who Battle Scene Productions has done some scenes for. But very little of what I suggested has been produced. So Nick and I are thinking of producing some ourselves. But this is a bad economic time right now. All I can say is our ideas don't necessarily involve intense action. Alex

I like figures designed to interact with other figures or their surroundings. Figures signaling to other figures, or crouching as if alongside a wall or armored vehicle, or leaning against something or looking around a corner. These types of figures lend themselves to telling a story in a diorama.

I too like figures that interact with each other, such as mundane camp scenes, soldiers preparing food and soldiers lounging around the camp playing cards and musical instruemnts. I also would like to see a set where the soldiers are preparing a defensive position, using shovels, axes and moving sandbags. But I understand that theses types of sets do not sell well and many manufactures will not take a chance on them.

The Crusader range mixes very well and the action figures are great in dioramas .I can see myself one day getting more of these.Simmo.
