There are so often criticisms of manufacturers and dealers, and I thought a few accolades would be a bit more energizing. I had an exhausting first week back to work after a three week break and, stopping to collect the house mail, had an unexpected surprise. I received a hand-written card wishing me season's greetings. A rare treat, hand written anything. I must acknowledge Pete and the TF team for that treat. It was a very warm gesture. Thanks so much folks. And all the best for 2017.:salute::
Please add your own good stories.

And how about a shout out for Vicki at TGM (whose daughter, like me, loves feeding wildlife) - for all of the attention to detail as we went through the Sunderland build. Everything was done to make sure we had the planes and colour schemes just right. It was a fun experience and I'll do it again.:salute::

I recall talking to Andy at lunch a few years back about packs of casualty figures for dios, and they have been progressively appearing and are really useful with all those firing figures.
Not just a pretty face, our Andy :salute::

It's a bit like when you pick up a Newspaper - you never read:

" one and a half million passengers on trains arrived safely today" - but, when you get an accident on the Railways - it makes headlines.

It's the same thing with Customer Experiences surely?

When we buy something - we expect things to be okay - so it's unremarkable. When we do get a problem, however - we want it put right soonest - and when that doesn't happen quickly enough - we get annoyed.

just human nature really.

By the way - I bought some broken Toy Soldiers recently - which were very cheap - and I was very pleased with them.:D But it takes all sorts.... jb

Actually it Is culture, the stuff of developed habit. I recall reading in a book written prior to this long history of development, the idea that you get the best of life when you count your blessings...can't quite remember the name of the book.
As collectors, we are incredibly blessed by an array of talented people whose own interest is served by their serving our interest. And most of the time they get it right.
I adore the musician figure just spotted in the new TGM Roman release...and I find "adoring" far more energizing than griping. I conclude from that energy the proof of that really old theory. :wink2:

It's probably not the same book, but along those lines, I recommend reading "Happiness is a Serious Problem", by Dennis Prager. The idea you mention is part of his thought on how to be happy (gratitude is a prerequisite for happiness).

Prost!

And for something completely different, here's a big shout out for the postal service of the US and Oz. I got home last night to be welcomed by a large parcel from California posted less than 7 days ago. Doubly blessed as it was full of TS. Now that's just fantastic service and it makes for great customer experience.
Brad, the author I read was quite a bit before your book. But it's great that folk keep reinvigorating the theory. There's hope
Cheers, Bob

What a master of customer relations is John Jenkins? He celebrates ten years of business by giving us presents. I have had the benefit of a swathe of gold tickets. The thrill of anticipation as one waits to receive the unknown prize...takes one back to long lost youth; what a great treat! And those value packs; a great way to fatten out an otherwise sparsely populated dio...and not to mention still the best sculpts of horses and just the greatest of WWI planes. JJD has certainly enriched the customer experience in the last few years and raised the competitive bar by a few feet. Great work John. Thank you :salute::
