Today, I want to challenge all of you to post a dio with a train included.
This is a contest with no prize:D:D, but you can have fun.

The grading committee will be consisting of......Me:p;):D!!!!!! If you want to grade others you can:D.

Here's one to start the contest (you can't grade your own, so I can't do it to mine).

I am really looking forward to 2009 when K&C will release two German field guns for the WWI line. I don't actually know which two they will release, but I will be adding a flat bed car to this display with a field piece or two loaded on it. I need some German cavalry that are not in battle poses to go with the train set too. I would like to eventually add a truck or two if K&C releases any.

Beautiful trains.
Here are a couple of questions. What scale works best with 54mm soldiers? Second, if the Chicago Show, the East Coast Show and the West Coast Show are the big toy soldier shows in North America, what are the great toy electric train shows?
Finally I like all the sets. Mixing toy soldiers and trains is a good idea.

Thanks for the photos.

As a former train collector, I really love to see the trains, particularly the old Lionel stuff that John has. Very neat. Wonder how many former or present train collectors we have in our midst.

Time for a poll, but I have a layout in my attic........Michael

Had Lionel trains as a kid and still own 1950's era Hudson, F3 (?) Wabash diesel, and Civil War "General". I have no set up though I still have transformers and track. Some day ... -- lancer

I have enough G scale accumulated to build a layout, just need to get started...................

I have an HO layout which was active when the boys were home. They (we) enjoyed it until better things came along, the better things being girls. Now it's all packed up in a cupboard awaiting the grandchildren.

I really like Britfarmer's photo with the New York Central Railroad

I use G-scale.

there are more train shows than toy soldier shows. You can pick up a copy of Model Railroader and find a schedule of shows. The schedule may also be on their website.

There are probably regular train shows in your area. I believe the biggest one is in York, Pennsylvania. G scale is what you need for 54mm. Lionel Trains are O scale, somewhat smaller.
