Andy has asked me to post the following

****

Hi Guys,

Noli Poli is quite correct there are slight differences in size between the M16 (with the quad. 50’s) and the latest M21 Mortar Carrier.

As you guys know K&C is constantly trying to improve our products. The M16 was produced back in 2002 and did indeed have a different sculptor than the latest M21 produced this year. As we get older we, hopefully, get better. A little bit like a fine wine!

I never feel totally satisfied with any model or figure K&C produces – that’s why we keep trying to improve all the time.

I think that’s also something dedicated K&C collectors have come to expect and appreciate.

In addition with the appearance of new competitors like “Honour Bound” and possibly “British Commando” we have to keep “pushing the envelope”.

That’s good for us, you the collector and the hobby in general.

Re the “London Show” – can’t wait to go…I’ll be arriving on Thursday 1stDecember and look forward to meeting lots of old friends and making a few new ones.

Hats off to the Neville Family for taking over this show (and others) and breathing some much needed new life into them. They’ve really shaken up the toy soldier business in the U.K. and I’m proud and happy to be associated with them.

Best wishes to one and all and…happy collecting!

Aye Yours,

Andy C. Neilson

Andy,

I understand the variances between your sculptors. Even the plastic model companies have problems. Currently there are models of the M10 tank destroyer in 1:35th scale. Tamiyas was built on older components that are closer to 1:33 scale, so the whole hull is off-scale. The Original Academy offering was a knock off of the Tamiya - complete with all the errors. The newer offerings of M10 from AFV Club and Academy are very nice kits that probably cost a bunch to tool up. Well, both of them have problems with hull and turret angles.

The new AFV Club M36 isn't even out and it's being blasted on an AFV model group for numerous errors.

In this day and age, the scale model companies can't even get an M10s hull accurately with all their engineers, I think we can understand that a cast collectible might have a few variances.

I, for one, salute the ever improving quality of K&C. I have followed the GI vehicles and have noticed that EVERY release is a little better than the batch before. The K&C vehicles are good enough to rival scale models in quality and detail.

Keep up the good work - we do notice!

Gary

Looking forward to seeing your product.
I would like to see a "GERMAN STURM TIGER ASSUALT TANK, MOUNTING A HUGE 380mm ROCKET MORTAR" sometime in the future. I don't belive Andy plans to do one based on what he said to me in Chicago.
Don't worry Andy I'm still buying K&C just ask Shannon.:p
