Hi All,

Over the past few months, I've been admiring the amazing collections and dios of those of you who collect Roman figures. Of particular interest, I enjoy seeing the Roman ships and how some of you have incorporated Playmobil into the 1/30 Toy Soldier hobby (like Katana and Robin). While I find the John Jenkins Roman Warships amazing as well as Conte, I've been wanting a less-expensive option for some time. Just needed a ship and some Romans. I opted for a few Thomas Gunn Praetorians (beautiful figures I might add).

So for fun, here's a little sample of my Roman PRAE-mobil ship somewhere in Egypt. Historians need not apply. ^&grin

Great looking scene Rob, nice bit of photo shopping there to get the iconic sights all in one pic !^&grin^&grin^&grin

The play mobil Galley certainly looks good and scale wise not a bad match, I know from previous posts you have a nice play mobil collection so will slot in nicely with it.
of course if I had one I'd be tempted to add some paint it up a bit. But that's me and I do get tempted to tinker with things !

Anyway nice bit of substitution ! :salute::

Thanks Steve. I was thinking about it myself, but I'm a bit of a traditionalist and would hate to mess it up.

Very refreshing perspective.
Much appreciated Andanna, thanks.
