Royal Fusiliers from the BEF pray for God's helping hand but put their faith in their weapons as they do battle with the Hun near the ruins of a country church.

Nice photo Randy. How about showing it from the other side as well?

Randy,
You just continue to produce the best! This one is wonderful also. I do have a personal question, however. What wattage bulb do you use overhead in your setup? I'm putting something together that is vaguely similiar to your instructive photo booth, but am having issues with many things:
1. Not enough light
2. Too much light
3. Not enough space
4. Things falling over
5. Kids coming in to visit when they should be in bed
6. The routine of turning each light on
7. The routine of turning each light off
:p;)

I use a 75 Watt GE Reveal bulb. The beauty of the architect's lamp is that it is easy to move in a variety of angles/positions. This helps to cut out some of the reflection on glossy figures. I use Photoshop to take out more of the reflections too. The cloth of the portable photo studio also helps to diffuse the light. I have all my lights plugged into a power strip so that I can easily turn them on and off.

I think your Zulu photos are excellent--especially like the Gatling one:)

Randy,
Thanks for the advice...and the praise. It's mutual and I continue to learn from your story lines! Mike

I hope you'll put your efforts into one of the TF albums for us to enjoy. The story lines are most informative,

Randy

Nice figures and excellent photography. Another nice picture Randy. John

Randy, you have both gloss and matt WWI figures. Which do you prefer, or simply, how do you see the difference?

PS Your comment on TR albums has been noted.

I like them equally. They photograph differently of course, the matte being more realistic but there is something magical about the gloss. For me Britains and Beau Geste gloss are true works of art.

Hi Randy, Thanks for answering. I know I like the gloss figures and, as I mentioned elsewhere, I like the Britain/Premier WWI gloss range. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Thanks Russell-you too!
