Hi, at last I can begin the pre order for the "43rd Light Infantry Standard bearer", carrying the "Kings Colours". This figures is so late being released after the original 12 because there is practically no information on the colours of the Monmouthshire regiment in any book that I could find. I eventually got what I needed from the "Soldiers of Oxford Museum" and on my way to the London Show in December I called at the museum to dig them out of storage and take some much needed pictures.Unfortunately the Colours are no longer on display.
This flag is based on the Colours reputedly to have been carried by the 43rd Monmouthshire Light Infantry during the Peninsular War and the War of 1812. I hope you like the set.
The set is priced at £60 or $70 which isnt cheap but considering the sculpting and painting that has gone into it I think it is a fair price. The soldier is leaving China this week so it will be available in about 5 weeks time.
