You really never know on ebay. If no one is looking seriously or if 2 or more bidders really want the item, the difference in prices can be enourmous for items that only appear occasionally. As opposed to really rare or commonly on ebay. But a single transaction doesn't set the market.

Seller probably got a friend to buy it back. Expect to see it listed again in the future.
If you don't collect planes then whether its K&C or not makes little difference. I wouldn't buy it whatever the price. As its not of interest to me.
