Hello , i'm Emilio Arredondo, from Kronprinz toy soldiers, and i have a little trouble with the prices of our figures.

When we put prices to our figures, we first look around in the shops in Spain , Italy , Germany etc. and then we asign a competitive price to our work. But when we look to the US dealers , the prices of K&C, Thomas Gunn and the other companies are cheaper than in Europe. It has an easy solution i think, offer a lower price to the US dealers, but in the case of final customers who bougth us trough our website?

Thanks in advance for your helping messages

Now our prices for a single infantry figure are about 26/28 €, more or less 36/40 US $.
Do you thik that if we down this prices near to 30/32 US $ , our products would be more interesting to the american customer?

Emilio, maybe you should ask the dealers such as Treefrog directly about what price they think would be competitive and yet allow you to make a profit. Most U.S. collectors would want a lower price without considering your real cost for making the soldiers. But regardless of price, the toy soldiers must at least be equal in quality to what is being made by others. Maybe selling on Ebay would expose your figures to collectors, who might want to see them ,by buying one or two...For me, I will not buy from a overseas dealer site, that I do not know..Michael

One of the reasons that the prices are lower is the US is that European dealers have to pay VAT on all the Chinese made figures.

I've sent you a private message...

From what I've seen the price in dollars must be equal to the price in euros. Example: 30usd=30euros.

Great stuff Emilio. Can't wait for an English version of your website and the possibility to buy your figures in US dollars. I'm really impressed by the choice of your Italian soldiers. I'll check regularly for any update of your website. Good work.

I can tell you from a personal perspective the devaluation of the dollar vs. world currencies is killing all my overseas buying. the only items I buy are from firms and individuals that deal in Dollars.
I have wanted to buy some of your early war german figures to check them out but as I said, the exchange rate is horrible.

Hello Ray
we have a little trouble with the gestion of our web site, and we are not able to include the new US $ prices , and by the moment any order will be charged in €
But i hope that in a few days we will have dealers in Usa and Canada, and you'll can obtain our products at more competitive prices.

Best regards
Emilio

Hi Emilio,

This is an interesting problem. You should probably speak with someone from WBritains to see how they do this. The exchange rate for the dollar to euro is nasty right now for those of us who are paid in dollars, and you will not see much action from US buyers unless you can make the sales in dollars and have it be similar in cost to the euro. The big problem the dollar spenders have is the euro is costing us about $1.46 so if the figure costs 30 euros thats $43.85 and we havent even added shipping. So if you want US buyers you will need a US dealer or take a hit in the conversion market. Good luck

For Canada, hope we'll be able to order from Maitland.
