My figure just arrived in the mail and it is amazing. However a word of caution, be very careful about removing it from the box. I snapped the Zulu off the base at the ankle, but I was able to glue it back on. The chip is hard to see, but I know it is there.

One question, What type of paint would one use to touch it up.

Thanks,
Brian

I know it doesn't help you at all but my Stuart-Smith piece was sent to me with the Zulu's spear snapped off. I got a replacement through without any problems but again the Zulu's spear is very bent. it's got nothing to do with the seller, whom I must say has been brilliant. It seems to me that the packaging is actually damaging some of the products in a few cases. I have to admit it has made me unsure about investing in the magnificent looking limber piece. You can't go through life always expecting the worst but there looks a lot that can go wrong!

I was lucky, it was a clean break and I was able to glue it together. I had a hard time removing the foam off the figure, it is one peice of foam with two holes cut in it for the figures. Everything is fine now, I will touch it up when I get the paint.

However, I must say the figure is great.

Donnie, Thank you for the link.

Breaking a limited piece like this would be the worst, ok when it's easily replaced, but this is not. Glad you were able to salvage it. cheers, Robin.

Popped into Modelzone this morning with the intention of purchasing this figure. Got to handle it in the shop and have to concede I was somewhat disappointed, so much so that I kept my money in my wallet. I think the other Modelzone exclusives have been impressive, although I'm still not entirely convinced about the arm on the 24th figure within the 'Washing of the Spears' model. Doesn't look like a natural angle. 'Cold Steel', 'Melvill', 'Coghill' and 'Twighlight' are extremely good pieces but this latest offering leaves me cold. The intention to make the figures appear wet has only served to make them look like gloss figures.

The nice thing about 'Cold Steel' is that it is turning into a 'Pension Piece'. A very good investment indeed.

Does anyone know what the next exclusive will depict?
