Is anyone else having problems with the blue and gray indicator that there are or are not unread posts in a subforum where threads have been moved or deleted? On the Thomas Gunn subforum, the general glossy discussion subforum and the treefrog chatlounge subforum, I have double and tripple checked that I have seen all the posts, but these subforums still appear blue, indicating there are unread posts. The only common denominator on these forum I can discern is that threads were moved or deleted.

I think the best way to check to see if you have read or not read a post is to click the "New Posts" option. That will show you threads where there are new posts since you last visited.

Brad is correct on this Louis it is the best way. I think it has to do with one of the options Peter has chosen. If once you have read the threads you wish to read click on mark forums read you will find the blue boxes disappear.

That is what I do also. After I've finished reading what I like, I click the "Forums Read" icon. This will appear if you're on the main page (not in a thread, like now) or if you're in a thread, click on Forum Actions, and it will show up.

It makes things easier to navigate the next time you log on.

Thanks guys. I just tried Brad's suggestion, and I am going to try clicking "mark forums read" on the three problem forums right now.

Maybe too late for this but it will mark everything read so any posts you have yet to view will also be gone.
