My last post made me curious, does anyone have a good idea how many figures might be in a typical run before it is retired? Rob

The Wittman Tiger run was rumored to be about 2000. That seemed to be considered on the high end because it was so popular. There was some discussion that the 1200 "limited editions" were not much different than a regular run. Not sure there is any real hard and fast rule. Andy has provided some factors in previous discussion but it probably depends on how they are selling.

I believe Doug is right on the Wittman. I've got a feeling that many tanks are in that range as well due to the increasing popularity.

Since Rob brought this topic up could we get some clarification on the new wording from the April dispatch pertaining to "planned production number", referring to the new 88 of course.I've been around this forum since day one and have seen the "Strictly Limited" releases fluctuate in numbers with every new release but understand that once they are gone there gone. I have also seen the wording "Limited Edition" used pertaining to the KT repaint and possibly another K&C release but I can't recall off the top of my head which one it was. I'll leave that to the other number crunchers on this forum.Reading recent posts from forum members it seems everyone is worried that the "planned production number" of 750 will be be sold out quickly. My opinion on the latest wording of "planned production number" means that if the 750 sells out or orders from dealers are brisk than another "planned run" of a few hundred more could take place. Yes it could be another run with a different paint scheme, possible??
What I'm getting at since I've probably confused everyone is that this seems to be another play on words that I would like to see clarified. The recent TreeFrog Rivet states in the second paragragh that K&C has announced their latest Strictly Limited vehicle. I assume they are referring to the 88?? So are we getting a SL release or a release of 750 but could be higher if orders are high enough to warrant, which I can't see why they would not be since I agree this is a great set.
Okay I put my flak helmet on expecting the worst..............please be gentle::eek:

I hope that isnt the case purely because I jumped it to the top of
my list due to the likely hood of it disapearing pretty fast .
If they release more afterwards so be it , but i,d rather have the
chance to take my time about getting it if it turns out to be released beyound those numbers.
