Reading yesterday on TF about the uncertain future of the WB gloss Zulu line (which I love and collect) I thought it would be worthwhile to visually review the figures thus far issued in order to give collectors who have been hesitant about buying these fine figures some motivation. Therefore I spent the morning photographing the figures from my collection. I also re-read the 2008 WB Zulu War promo flyer's section on the gloss collection and I reproduce it the page here: [note that cavalry and artillery are mentioned for future releases.]

So I hope this thread will spark sufficient interest to help keep this fine series alive.

So fellow collectors if you love the Zulu War and Britains glossy figures don't let this great series go the way of the Crimean War and Indian Mutiny.

i love this series really dont want to see it disappear as my hospital is currently populated with gloss 24th foot & i dont want to change my collection mid-stream! &we need alot more sculpts as ive ony amassed a few & would rather they weren't all the same!!! hopefully we will get some gloss mounted figures soon aswell!!!

Here is the 24th Foot figure from the Redcoats series that is compatible in style and scale with the WB glossy AZW.

I nearly missed this thread. Really enjoy the figures and the way you present them, Randy.

Excellent figures, I have some very nice earlier glossy figures from the Britains older Zulu War range (the Holding the Line set and a few Zulus) but these new ones are an improvement, from very good to excellent:p!

The AZW gloss line is my favorite. Matte is nice but gloss is better imho. Thanks for posting all the pics.

Randy,

Thanks very much for the great images of Britain's Zulu War gloss figures.

I thought I should bump your post as I makes for great rally call for collectors of gloss figures.

Best, Raymond.

;)

Where are the "Zebras"?(Zulus used the term after the battle to refer to the Natal Carbineers- They were everywhere and kicking like mad)
