I see that Mr. Badolato has become a Brigadier General. Now that he has become a senior officer, I can't call him Louis anymore but must give the respect his rank entitles him to ;)

As a general, I believe I deserve more of a kick in the butt than respect (at least that has always been my opinion of generals).

But Brad, with 4,600+ posts, hiding behind that 'moderator' status, you must have Presidential ambitions....:D

This is a family forum - we cant call him that ! :p

NO NO NO. The "Peter Principle" is a management theory. The Peter Principle is a colloquial principle of hierarchiology, stated as "In a hierarchy every employee tends to rise to his level of incompetence." Formulated by Dr. Laurence J. Peter in his 1968 book of the same name, the Peter Principle pertains to the level of competence of the human resources in a hierarchical organization. The principle explains the upward, downward, and lateral movement of personnel within a hierarchically organized system of ranks.:p

In other words, Louis has reached incompetency on two levels. First as, well he is an attorney, and second here on the forum. No slack Brad, no slack. :) :)

I always thought that the Peter principal meant that people would always be promoted one past their level of competence (i.e. someone who could barely handle commanding a brigade would get promoted to command a division). Whatever the case may be, I believe that I can attain higher levels of incompetence before I am through!

Peter's Principle is that he married HRH Shannon and is living happily ever after...

Now that's funny or true, sort of depends on your point of view.

So what rank must Brad have reached now. They must be running out of ranks to garnish him with.Maybe they should bestow upon him 'the order of the treefrog' .Sir Brad sounds good.Or perhaps a Dukedom!! .I'll give Liz the II a ring and recommend him for an honary title.:D

Yes, hiding behind that little 'moderator' title is his TRUE rank, Lt. General.

I may need a bit of help in understanding the ranks that come above General (is 4 star general the highest rank at this time?) for when that rank has been reached. We've been following Army ranks. As always, we strive for accuracy here!

On the other hand, we will just have to take orders from Lt. General Lewin, so he can call it what he wants (unless HRH Queen Shannon pulls rank - I believe a queen is higher than all others).

A one star General is a Brigadier General (Rear Admiral Lower Half, used to be Commodore or the rank did not exist for a period of time)
A two star General is a Major General (Rear Admiral Upper Half)
A three star General is a Lieutenant General (Vice Admiral)
A four star is a General (Admiral)
A five star is a General of the Army (Fleet Admiral) (only used in "declared wars", last in WWII)
Queen out ranks everyone of course.

Dear Moderator General, what shall we call you?????? Lord Brad of Treefrog????
