The Aeroart company occasionally makes available "prototype" figures when a new figure is created. This is literally the very first figure that has been completed and approved for sale by the company. The figure itself is usually no different than the rest of the line. Comes with a certificate etc. Seems to generate a lot of interest and competition from collectors when new figures are made available. Maybe KC could do something similar. Recognizing the larger number of collectors for KC maybe they could be sold by auction or lottery directly from KC. Or by lottery to collector club members only. This could also spur interest in the collector's club. Anyway just another suggestion free of charge Andy.

Andy posted answers to several posts under the thread "A Question for Andy" including his answer to your prototype question. Here it is:

3) Selling Prototypes As some of you know we’re occasionally sold some of our vehicle prototypes, that for whatever reason, never went into full production.

I don’t think I’m interested in selling off similar production ‘propotypes” or “first paint samples” of figures. Quite frankly it’s too time consuming and I think it might open a whole can of worms. To be honest, I might even cease selling any vehicle prototypes as well.
