Does anyone out there have or seen this figure from the "Imperial China" line? The Retail price on this figure seems much higher than some of the other mounties in other lines, or that one for that matter. I remember the old Qianlong- he was a fabulous figure as well. Just curious if there are a lot of additional details that are on this figure that don't come through on the stock photos.

Hi Chris-

I had the opportunity to see the figure and without saying that it worths the price, it has definitely more works and details than any other mounted figure produced by K&C.

I forgot to say that when this figure will be retired by K&C, I will definitely buy it. Hope it helps.

We have this figure Chris.
Whether its worth the price is down to the buyer. We like it for the incredible amount of painting detail.

Hello everybody,
today I played with my figures and at the end I had a scene set up that I want to share with you.
The figures are from the K & C Imperial China Collection.
It is somewhere within the gardens of the Forbidden City. The Emperor had send word that he was missing the visits from his "one and only" concubine. Although he received the message shortly after, that she is on her way, he somehow could not wait. That, of course is not very cool for an Emperor, but then again "What a Lady !!!"
Now, following are plenty pictures of the scene I set up today. Hopefully I got all angles and views. Included are some closeups of the Emperor to give you and idea about the painting style.
It is a very impressive figure.
Again, like always, a reminder. This figures are 60mm scale and not as large as they appear in the photos. If you hold a figure in your hand and see it eye to eye you will even more appreciate the paint quality, especially on the Emperor.
Enough talking, let's look at the stuff.
Happy Collecting!

Konrad,

The realism, detail, you name it on these figures is just head-shaking amazing. Very nice photos and set up. Thanks for posting them.

Hope things are well by you.

Hi Konrad,

You make a wonderful presentation with a wonderful set of figures! Thank you for showing them to us!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Hey Konrad-

Fantastic pics!!! I love what you did with the dio!! I do appreciate you sharing that with us- Qianlong is just superb- I had a feeling he looked that good but the stock photos just didn't do him justice. I am working up an IC dio similar to the one on the KC website but am going to use the "concubine" wagon set as well (what a great piece!!- the figure :D:D) and the little guy roasting the pigs- he will be positioned near the mongol tents to look like he is getting lunch ready for the troops.

Great use of the cherry tree as well- it really sells the scene.

Great to see someone collects these figs- In my opinion, these IC sets are still the best quality ones produced by KC.

STANDS ALONE!!
CC

Thanks, Brad, Pat and Chris,
for some reason the Orient series by King and Country are not mentioned or talked about a lot. Maybe due to the subjects they do not appeal so much to the Toy Soldier Collector who is looking more for warriors and such.
However, these figures are really well made and a great pleasure to look at.
Chris, the plans for your IC diorama sound very well.
Whenever you get something set up, please show us the result.
Happy Collecting!

Is this the Gate of the Romans?
Senatus Populus que Romanus

Nice pics, by the way.

CHEERS:)

Hi Debrito,
no, this is not the Roman Gate (R041). It is the Chinese Gate (IC027).
Although both are similiar structures, the Romen Gate has brown doors, while the ones on the Chinese Gate are red and the sign that says SPQR on the Roman Gate is red on the Chinese Gate and has some Chinese characters written on it. What they say, I have no clue.
Happy Collecting!

Thank you for the reply. Anyway it is a very nice setup.
