Two volunteer officers were attached to Braddock's BoM Campaign, Captain Stone of the 47th (Lascelles Regiment) and Captain Floyer (corrected from Hayer in the Morris Journal) of the 45th (Warburton's Regiment). Both officers were in the vanguard of the column, I believe they were attached to the New York Independent Company (British Regulars, not colonials). The Independent Company marched immediately behind the 44th grenadiers (Lt Colonel Gage). In John's Quebec campaign, we have figures suitable for both Captain Stone and Captain Floyer. In the Morris Journal, Captain Stone is listed as killed and Captain Floyer wounded. That is why those two figure reside on my BoM shelf (too offset the miserable absence of regular tricorn officers).

In John's figure, the extended arm and hand are key (figure derived from the well-know painting of Wolfe's Death at Quebec). In a letter by Horatio Gates (printed in Braddock at the Monongahela, Paul Kopperman, page 196), Gates states the Floyer subsequently died at Wills Creek (back at Dunbar's camp). From Gates letter "Floyer was shot through the hand with join'd to an extream shatter'd constitution was the death of him he was buried a Wills Creek."

Key the creepy music !!!
