Over the past few months, I was fortunate enough to acquire Britains "Queen Victoria presenting the Colours to the Scots Guards - 1899" sets. The presentation I acquired comprises 294 figures from 84 different boxes. While I opened them and inspected them when I received them, this is the first time I have ever set up the entire presentation at one time. Its snowing here so I picked a really good day to attempt it. (I am taking a break, having only set up about 40% of the pieces.) I have a real new found appreciation for those fellow forum members who have labored over dioramas with hundreds, and even thousands of pieces. "My hat's off to you gentlemen."

Wow, that sure sounds like an upcoming sensation.
You are taking photos when you're done, aren't you ???
Please :)
Enjoy the setup.

I am so jealous of you right now !!!!!! Yes please pics, pics, pics.

I have seen some of the pieces and it certainly does look like a great collection. How did you manage to acquire a full set?

I have been looking at the Britains Jubilee sets and I may take a stab at collecting them.

Thanks

Scott

I looked everywhere for the sets, and only had luck with dealers and collectors in the UK. Very few of these sets made it over to the US. I had great sucess with Lynn Kenwood of MKL. I highly recommend him to you. He still has stock available, howver, since it is old it does not show up on his store's web site. His prices were very reasonable, and delivery was very quick. I would get the sets four days after he mailed them. If you have a want list send it via email to him. Within a day or two he will respond with quantity and prices. He is a real pleasure to deal with.

Good Luck,
Dick

P.S. My camera is broke. But as soon as possible, I will take some pics and post them.

If you want Lynn's email, send me a private psot, and I will give it to you. Only reason to send it private, is I don't know if Lynn would want me to give his email address out publicly.
