Hello everyone,

About 10 or more years ago I bought a bag of Barzso Davy Crockett pioneers at a toy show. There are 11 poses, minus the three women. This gave me a surprise when I saw the picture of the set on Ron Barzso's website, because there are only supposed to be 10 poses plus the three women.

Here's the set as pictured on Barzso's site:

Here's my figures:

Now here is a closeup of the figure Barzso does not show in his pic of the set:

Who is this guy? Is he a character figure, perhaps George Russel? (although I thought the characters in this set were in buckskin brown) Or could he be a figure who was later discontinued, or is he part of another Barzso set altogether? I looked at most of the other sets on Barzso's site and could not see this figure anyplace.

Thanks very much for your help!

Mark

I could be wrong, but I believe the extra figure is actually part of his Battle of New Orleans set, American irregulars. I too have the same figure and if my jaded memory serves me correctly I got him in bagged set of figures.

I have a couple of those poses from The New Orleans bags.

Hi,

Scott and Ed are correct - the figure in question is from the War of 1812 American Militia and was never meant to be part of the Davy Crockett Pioneers.

I didn't know for sure so I asked Ron...

Thanks very much guys! And thanks to Ron Barzso for his input (and great toys) too!

I have bags of the Crockett pioneers with the very same figure in question. He's a good pose!
