Could someone advise me on the DAK Panzer IV Ausf. F-2?

I recently bought one and it has the number black 3. I noticed that in Toy Soldier Collector Issue 24 a large photo in an article shows a red 215 and photos on some vendor sites show a red 211.

In a TSC advertisement there is mention of “small springs securing the rear fenders” – There are none that I could find on my example.

My questions are these different production runs, are there any other variations in the production runs and what about the springs.

Thanks.

Mine is #215 as well and has no springs. As a guess, the #211 in the advert could have been a show model and it may have had springs but those 2 items were not part of the actual production run. Figarti has also been known to occasionally do a second run with small differences from the first run.

I've been kicking around whether or not to get this tank (AK is probably my favorite line), but was concerned about the packing and quality. For those who have purchased this vehicle, was the packing decent? How about the quality? I had tried a winter panzer IV awhile back, but it came with broken pieces, foam stuck to the undercarriage glue and the bogies weren't lined up in a number of places (sloppy assembly?). That has kept me away from this piece, as well as the Grant and Lee (which I'm dying to add to my collection, but worried about the letdown due to potential damage or quality issue).

Any thoughts/feedback are appreciated.

My AK Panzer IV came with no problems and iy is a fantastic model. If I had to pick my top 10 AFVs the AK Panzer IV would be one of them along with the Prime Mover and see through Tiger.

Mine is Red 215 but I can see no springs.
I'm with The Phantom on this one - it's one of my favourite models.

I can't speak for this one but the Grant was broken when I received it. The good news is that the new packaging is superb.

I liked the Panzer IV so much that I ordered a second one and recieved a RED 215 to go with my BLACK 3 of spades - So working on a new shelf display now...

Cool as usual Donnie. Are the guys in the middle Figarti?

Thanks Brad!

Yes, they are the Afrika Corps on the March set.
