Hi, all,
This is my first post to this forum.

I have roughly 60 French Foreign Legion and Toureg Arab soldiers that I have had since I was a kid in the 60s. I believe they were prizes that came from some cereal box.

Each army is represented by four different poses:

Foreign Legion:
Officer with sword raised
Officer with pistol raised
Soldier with rifle held over head using bayonet
Soldier standing with rifle in firing position

Arabs
Arab with sword raised overhead and dagger in other hand
Arab with short sword and empty hand overhead
Arab holding musket/rifle across body with other hand raised
Arab with musket in firing position

These are all molded in single colors (yellow, blue, green, red)

I would like to know a little more about them - are they collectible? any value (not that I will ever want to sell them, but I would like to make a determination as to whether I should allow my grand kids to play with them).

If you need pics, I can provide....

Thanks.

Here is a pic I found on the web of some of the soldiers in question. These are standard 54mm in height, and are nicely detailed.

Yep! 'Thems' the ones...

I had suspected they were made by LIDO but I wasn't sure. Thanks for alerting me to the web page. Also on the same page I found some other plastic figures that I own: A small set of the American Revolution soldiers, about 40 of the small plastic airplanes (These also came out of cereal boxes), a handful of the baseball figures, and even a couple of the farm animals.

Now I only need to see if there is any value in any of these.

Thanks.
