Well maybe a few questions. #1 Did you do all the sculpting for Contes first plastic sets, being Warlord, Zulu, DDay and FFL?
And of all the sculpts you have done, do you have any favorites that stand out?
Whether you did the above Conte sculpts are not, I believe those were the best plastic figures EVER done.

Yes these are some great sets! I had the good fortune of working exclusivly for Mr. Conte at that time and all of the sculpts passed through here, or were produced here, before they went to the tool maker for injection molding. These were busy times between sculpting, engineering, painting, photography and meetings. Richard Walker helped us with some of the latter for a short time.
The Zulu/24th foot range was entirly sculpted by a California studio and very minor adjustments and detailing was added here. This range alone is huge and was well recieved by collectors.
All but half a dozen of the Saxons/Normans/Vikings were sculpted here for both metal and plastic.
My good friend Joe Burton of Chicago sculpted all of the French Foreign Legion and Arabs and I added details here for molding.
The World War II range had three of us working full time to put all of the figures out in a short time. Jim Holt, another talented sculptor from Chicago did some US Paratroopers and Germans, and Greg Gonzolas of California did most of the British Paras.
I ended up sculpting a little over half of the German Heer troops, all of the Waffen SS, 3/4 of the US airborne and at least a half a dozen of the Brit Paras. All of the figures were detailed here to standardize them, and in the case of the Brit Paras all of the feild equipment added to them as Greg was unfamiliar with those details.
In addition I sculpted the Warlord village and all but the bridge, and one of the small bunkers for the WWII range.
Recently I delevered a mix bax of 17 new WWII poses to Mr. Conte and I am in the process of sculpting more. In addition Mr. Conte purchased the rights to produce another 16 poses of our ONWTC WWII figures, so there will be at least 33+ poses for his metal and plastic ranges from here!
Hope this answers your question.
