Hi everyone,

I have some 1950s era Marx Stockade Indians; 4 in dark rusty red brown and 3 in yellow. The sources I have seen (Kent Sprecher's site http://www.angelfire.com/biz/toysoldierhq/zmx60i3a.jpg and Marxwildwest.com http://marxwildwest.com/inventory2.html#Stockade_Indians ) both show SIX poses. However, in the lot I have, there is a SEVENTH pose! He is in the exact same color and texture of plastic and shares the same sculpting style. Is he a 'rare lost Marx pose'? or is he just a figure from another company made in the exact same plastic and style?

Here are 2 pics of my indians. The mystery man is circled in red.

Thanks! Hope someone can help!

Before I got into metal I collected old Marx and I don't recall seeing that figure. I would say it is from a different company, which one I don,t know.
It appears that the figure is a slight bit thinner than the chunky Marx figures.
Don,t take this as gospel as I have been away from Marx for almost ten years.
I,m sure if you went to the Yahoo Marx message board you could get a correct answer.

What you have is Beaton Plastics Indian - roughly contemporary to Marx
Made in England by Poplar Playthings.

Thanks guys!

I am currently leaning toward Timmee as I saw this figure included in Kent Sprecher's figure lists in the Timmee section of his website. It makes a nice match with the Marx indians, though!

Thanks again!
