I recently started collecting some Zulu figures from Wm Britain and FL and noticed that TG had some excellent looking figures as well…can anyone share how compatible the TG guys might be size-wise with WB and FL?
thanks !

Have all 3 FL WB and TG all go well with each other

all the best

First legion are in my opinion the best Zulu figures but are in short supply apart from the 2 carrying guns. Thomas gun are good but not as good and their skin tone blends in well with FL. They however do not have a great number of attacking figures and it is therefore difficult to compose a diorama as Zulus attacked en masse. Britains again in my opinion are not that convincing. Some of the poses are clumsy and the skin tone very dark, apart from the latest releases which seem a bit better. Britains Zulus are easily available cheap on EBay whereas you never see FL Zulus.

Mike,
You might want to consider Conte Zulus also. I think that Conte really captured African facial features in their figures and size wise they look fine with Britain's Zulu range, I don't have FL or TG Zulus, just a couple of Tom Gunn
mounted Lancers.

Hi. I have TG,FL and conte Zulus. The Conte are noticeably smaller and don’t look good with the FL and TG.
I think FL and TG are 60mm and Conte are 54mm like Benito. The Conte I will probably put on EBay. Regards.

Also keep in mind that there will be JJD figures for this period sometime in the future.

Hi. Pardon but how do you know JJD are planning a Zulu war range? Be great if they were but if so is there any idea when?

John Jenkins does a Christmas Advent Callender, posting a sketch a day of ideas for upcoming figures, and or series. JJD 2023 Advent Calendar Sketches (treefrogtreasures.com) Almost all of these Advent sketches become actual releases. - Since he saved ''The Zulu War'' for the Dec. 25th posting, I should think it's a pretty sure bet we'll be seeing Zulu War releases this year...Hopefully sooner the better.
