What unit is cited on the waffen SS cuff title for this item

My first reaction to the question was "come on - do you really think they painted on an actual cuff title?" Using a swing arm illuminated magnifying lens together with a hand held magnifier and my reading glasses, I could barely make out the script. I certainly couldn't read the cursive script. The only thing that stood out was the 2nd and 3rd letters of the first word. Together they looked like a %. Either a made up detail or the "o" in Adolf. {eek3}



So I looked up the cuff title for SS-Leibenstandarte Adolf Hitler and there it was. No s**t. {sm3} That's the best I can do. Someone with a bigger magnifying glass may be able to confirm it.

I wish K&C made as much effort on the big AFV insignia that I can see. :rolleyes2:^&grin^&grin

I have the figure here on my desk, I looked with a magnifying glass and it def. says "ADOLF HITLER"
