..Definately in Kansas, Toto, with no one to talk Britain's with..Having solved the "limited Edition" question, I have another. I recently purchased a red box with of W Britains called the Durham Light Infantry, 7 or's and an officer. On the outside of the box, the title "Special Collectors Edition" is printed in gold.
Anyone out there willing to shed some light on this?
Thanks in advance.

Not 100% on this without my books but I think this set was made specifically for the Collector Club, hence the title.

Hi Guys,

This is set number 00131 Called the Durham Light Infantry and was produced in 1999 to 2000 as part of the Crimean Line. It was only in production for a year so perhaps thats what makes it special. Take a look at the 1999 Catelogue and you will see it along with a lot of the other sets done for the Crimean Series.

These were made back with RC2 owned Britains and they overproduced the set. I remember purchasing large quantities of it at a significantly reduced pricing.

Over the years it has probably come back to a more normal price, but for a while they were everywhere.

My thanks to all of you. I am very slowly staring to utie knots regarding Britains. I started about 60 years ago and I have a lot of catching up to do!
