January 1940. Even in the midst of the eight month-long "Phoney War" these freezing French troops still have a patrol route to keep.

Just a fun little photo I did earlier this morning. Lying on my belly in the snow trying to get a good angle isn't really what I'd call an ideal morning but after the recent snow storm that the campus experienced I simply couldn't pass the opportunity up. Stay warm everybody ^&cool

I have to buy my terrain and you get yours free^&grin. Really impressive though, pays to use the real thing. Robin.

Thanks, I really had to get low in the snow to get the angle right... nearly gave up when the wind chill set in {sm2}

Sig, very smart use of pure natural terrain. It looks great.

Joe

Thank you! I got a couple of excellent shots of the wind chill right as it blew through the shot but these models themselves don't look "bundled up" enough to really sell the impression of trudging through a blizzard. Some of the winter Germans would have looked excellent for that but those are all back home unfortunately.
