Today we lost a much loved comedian in Mel Smith who died of a heart attack aged 60. He was very good in Not The Nine O'clock news along with Rowan Atkinson,Griff Ryhs Jones and Pamela Stephenson, also very very popular with Jones in Smith and Jones in the 80's and had success as a director with Mr Bean too. 'Not the' and 'Smith and Jones' were favourites of mine in my youth and its very sad to hear this today, 60 years old is too young.

R.I.P Mel you will be missed.

Oh no! He had a face that just invited you to smile. I read he made a lot of money selling one of his shows - though I can't remember which one. Yes, one of the faces i remember fondly from my youth.
