I have a keen interest in the Algerian War/Algerian War of Independence. As no one makes figures for this range I asked Bruce at R4a if he could do two figures for me: a Commando de Chasse Kimono and a Sous-Lieutenant, 1 Company, 2nd regiment of Zouaves. Both are illustrated in Osprey’s book on the Algerian War. The commando appears on Plate A1 and Zouave is on Plate D4.

Bruce agreed to do the figures and I think that they are great!

I made a base for them and the cart is from a Miniart kit.

The premise of this mini-diorama is that French Algeria troops are discussing the fortification of a Pied-Noir farmstead.
