A Panther tank has stopped to admire a soldier's hunting success as he emerges from the woods that held his prey.

(I posted my HB Winter Panther about 4 months ago, but took some more pictures with this different winter set up and as I'm about to put this away for awhile....thought I would go ahead and post again as I like these pictures better.)

Here's a few more shots. The HB Winter Panther is one of my favorites of my collection.

Hi Duke,

Absolutely Brilliant.

This is one of your best, if not the best.

I just can't get enough of your splendid dios.

May I suggest you put these in your album.

Thanks and Best Wishes, Raymond.:)

Thanks a bunch for the kind words Raymond. I haven't really looked into the album portion of the site... but since I'm starting to have quite a few pictures, I might just do that. Thanks for the suggestion.:)

Duke is it? That is a nice Panther. Those are great dio pieces. The other pieces are also from HB?

Hi Duke nice pics I feel cold just looking at this very effective scene and I also like rabbit stew :):)

Regards John

Thanks, The soldier is part of the Winter Panther set. The bases are JG miniatures. A couple of the trees are JG as well, and one BAR set of twin winter pines.

Once again a superb scene Duke,I really like the way you make your base work for you in different scenarios, great work.I have this Tank and its a classic in my view, a really nice AFV.The only tiny thing with it is the face of the guy holding up the Rabbit, not too realistic, but hey maybe he's just REALLY freaked out at catching that Rabbit!;)

Rob

Great dio (as usual). Truly the HB Winter Panther is one of my favorite vehicles. I just regret I didn't get the Jagdpanther when I had the chance.

Look forward to more of your dio work.

Thanks Rob, and I agree... the soldier on the ground is not the best figure, but I do like the 2 tank crew figures although they do have a "stern/tough guy" look about them:eek:.

Thanks Mike. Glad you like it. I also regret not getting the HB Jagdpanther when there was a chance.

HB certainly has made some great tanks and figures in interesting situations that are not commonly explored in the hobby ( ex. soldier holding a rabbit! ). Good stuff. The soldier's face holding the rabbit looks a little like a puppet from those classic Christmas specials from the 60's.

Great diorama. Ironically I went out to dinner last night and the special at the restaurant was roast rabbit. I had to order it and of course the whole time I was thinking about this set!

Thanks guys... and Panzer Ace, if I ever see rabbitt on the menu in a restaurant, I'm definetly going to order it!:)
