World War II marked the first time radio became a widely-used weapon of psychological warfare. Both the Allied and Axis powers transformed the wireless into an anti-personnel device. They shot disinformation and psychological shrapnel at each other.

Interesting article, thanks for posting it. I had heard about Tokyo Rose, Axis Annie and Lord Haw Haw, but I had no idea about the Allied efforts at this type of propaganda. That Radio 1212 station story was fascinating.
