Ranger Hut --- Source (1 Viewer)

FRAXINUS......Thanks for showing old print,,,interesting and nice to see something that old.

The ranger huts are in the lower left area of the print.

From the original item description:

RAID ON ST. FRANCIS

Limited Edition 350

The Rangers were billeted in specially constructed huts. It was unique to the Rangers who preferred to live in even half-faced camps of brush rather than tents like the rest of the army. A Royal Artillery Captain painted a watercolour in 1759 at Crown Point, showing Ranger Huts aligned in rows, with their doors fronting onto company streets.
