I saw this decent movie about the Easter Islanders, with those great big stone statues of heads. Starred Jason Scott Lee and other very lithe and nubile islanders. Produced by Kevn Costner, its worth seeing. 3.5/5 I think.

Blaster,

I thought I was the only person in the world who liked this movie. It took me years to find it on DVD. Finally had to order it from Korea. Great flick and I give it a 5/5 because no one ever made a movie about the islanders. It is a classic to me and is a fascinating look into a extinct people.

Hello John,

I did like it and gave a higher mark than IMDB. The scenes with the building of the statues were brilliant, the scenery was breathtaking, but the plot wasn't that good.

VICTOR,

The plot, yes the plot. Y'now you wonder what those islanders were doing for all that time and why they build those statues with hats. I mean what was the purpose of those monoliths and the story present in Rapa was a unique one. I never studied the people or the history of the island other than what was written by the Dutch and Capt Cook who arrived at the island while the tribes were in a civil war.

Anyways, it is nice to have another fan of the flick and I want to watch it again. Love the egg race scene!!!!
