I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU ! to everyone at The Good Soldier LCC for once again putting on a splendid event once again.
The Union Jack Club was SUPERB ! (I have to say that as I am a member of The UJC and have been going for years) No it truly was a most memorable evening...and the sit down meal was a nice welcome change.
The talk given by Craig Appleton on Tel Aviv was informative and enlightening.
Also a nice Big Thank you to those gents who so kindly dressed up in period dress once again. I have offered to dress up next year as Coco The Clown or Santa Clause but alas I am still waiting on the call !. So Craig if you are short on people do give me a shout.
Kens attention to detail was so precise that he refused to let the Collectors Club figure be released on the night. We Salute you Ken and applaud you. Ken was not happy with the way the butt of the rifle rested on the knee of the 24th Foot.We did get to see the exquisite piece however on the night, in ALL It's Glory. A remarkable piece that WILL be worth waiting for.
A 24th Foot Smashing Open an Ammunition Case. Because of the wait we were kindly given a randon Britains figure to take home which was a very nice touch. At least we didn't go home empty handed.
It was nice to hear from both Ken and John Lord Booth The new owners of The Good Soldier LCC formally Britains Bachmann.
The silent auction went down very well with some remarkable prices been bid. I was blown out of the water literally and despite not winning a bid I still had a Fantastic evening.
A Big Thank you also goes to Katie for all of her efforts and hard Work. Thank You Katie you are a STAR. ! To everyone else behind the scenes or I have failed to mention my sincere apologies. But THANKS anyhow.
To next years Collectors Club Event well I for one cannot wait.
Happy Collecting To ALL of The fellow collectors out there & All The very Best for Christmas 2016.
