I have just installed the latest forum upgrades, mostly security-related. One new security feature that came with these upgrades involves member passwords.
To increase the security of your password the software no longer allows you to use your username for your password. If you have been using your username as your password you will be prompted to choose a new password the next time you log in.
This actually only affects 5 accounts on the whole board, but since I don't know which accounts they are I am posting a general message here.

As usual, let me know if you notice anything strange after the upgrade.
Thanks!

Yo Shannon, nothing to do with the upgrade. But lately a few strange things take place.
1/ When a post a new thread and use the Cap lock for the title it always comes up in small case.
2/ If I am writing out a longer post or thread and adding photo's maybe takes five plus minutes then click submit, it has logged me out, and I have to log in again then click back to get to the post to submit it.
3/ Recently changed the photo's in my albums to make them larger, so when I go to edit photo then delete, it comes up saying invalid photo, so I click back on my user-name, then click back on the album I was changing photo, then it has deleted the photo, but it takes time if I am changing a lot of photo's. I was going to mail you a few times about these minor problems.
Bernard.

Hi Bernard,
In answer to your questions, here's what I've got:
1)There is an anti-shouting mechanism on the forum that converts all caps to small case--all caps can be construed as yelling.
2)When you log in make sure you click the 'remember me' box and it should keep you logged in until you manually log out.
3) Usually when you make a modification on a post or image it brings you back to the post or image to show you the end result. I think once you have deleted your photo it is telling you it is 'invalid' because it has been deleted and there is nothing to go back to. If you want to delete a bunch of photos try ignoring the 'invalid' message and just go on to the next one. After you've deleted a couple then go back and check to see if they are gone. I think they will be.
I hope this helps.
Regards,

Hi Shannon, thanks for the info, I will try not shouting in future lol.
Bernard.
